I like older dudes too! Not that I’d never date a guy around my age (26), but in general I’m not into them.

I had a boyfriend my age when we were 18-21 and he was a really cool and sweet guy, but so immature. He broke things in our house (furniture that belonged to my landlord) because he wouldn’t stop throwing balls around inside, and he would spend extra cash on video games and weed instead of saving. I have nothing against video games or weed but can you please budget your damn money?! And clean a dish once in a while? (Of course not all early-twenties men are like this and if it doesn’t apply to you please don’t be offended, I know there’s tons of you out there.)

Now at that time, I was far from a perfect person. I had my own problems with much heavier drugs and drinking. But I felt more like a young adult with a drug problem and he was more like a teenage boy who liked to collect bongs. I always thought that I’d like to be with him again once he grew up more.

Now I’m with a guy who’s 30 years older than me. It seems like a strange situation but people who get to know both of us learn that we are actually a pretty good team. I know every teenager and early/mid twenty year old wants to think they’re more mature than their peers and I don’t claim to be, but I have had some life experiences that have caused me to grow up fast in certain aspects at a young age so I guess that helps me get along with him as well.
