People who think service industry jobs deserve poverty level wage are subhuman trash

They make those billions of dollars in part because the labor they require is minimal, and thus cheap. Forcing them to pay people massively in excess of their actual benefits would just make those companies cease to be profitable.

I know this from experience. My family runs a few franchises, and if we had to pay people 15 dollars an hour, we would be forced to close.

how can you condemn your fellow Americans to poverty so that a few can hoard the wealth?

Why do you think that just because someone else is taking it in, that other people performing the lowest skilled work possible should be paid significantly higher than they would earn naturally for such work.

If you're trying to live off of a salary at McDonalds then you're insane. Leave those jobs for highschoolers or college students, or as secondary part time jobs for others. McDonald's is not a career.
