Person injured by a train at Leppington

"I feel like" some redditors do not read all the comments in a single thread before commenting. We've already talked about this, but thanks for chiming in with the obvious. It's not impossible, you just have to spend a lot of money, time and planning on a solution that would likely take a decade or three to be fully implemented.

In any case, this all in the hypothetical, and frankly nobody really cares enough to fix it. It's a minor issue, and economically the costs far outweigh the pros. Why should we spend millions revamping the safety of our transport network because some depressed Joe wants to go splat every now and again? And I'm sure in every suggestion we could make there will have been newer problems, complications and costs arising. Such is the life of all engineers and designers. None of us are the minister for transport. But in contrast we also shouldn't be so quick to dismiss an issue because there are no "simplistic" solutions , and this is exactly the kind of thinking we don't need in government or any industry for that matter.
