Should I do my own bond clean

It’s absolutely a racket but it can leave them liable. My agent last year got his mates/family in to do a mould clean and ended up getting spots of bleach over some of my clothes and sheets, staining them orange. Genuinely no idea how they managed it as my clothes were firmly on the other side of a fairly big main bedroom and the sheets covered with their tarp. Raised as an issue, no word back. Raised it again with him at the final inspection with landlord in attendance and he went absolutely ghost white since he knew he couldn’t challenge anything as I’d push for reimbursement. Got the full bond back unchallenged. That said we hadn’t done any damage or anything to the place, it was more his agency had so many 1 star reviews naming him as one of the most nitpicking agents in Sydney - at one point he mentioned to me he had gone to NCAT 6 times in the past month. We actually got an email from one of his junior agents who wasn’t clued into the bleach situation after the final inspection saying we had to repair ‘paint chip marks on the external side of the front door’ which is beyond ridiculous. The agency actually ended up rebranding to scrub the reviews from google.
