Phil Spencer: Xbox E3 Show Will Be 90 Minutes

A cooler running, quieter console

At the cost of much bigger console that also has a power brick.

Faster CPU

Which hasn't really been utilized in any meaningful way.

Better Online with Azure

Still hasn't been utilized or demonstrated in any meaningful way.

The only console maker to innovate this Gen (Kinect 2.0,

Which they no longer force as a standard - and thus, will likely be all-but-abandoned by year's end.

HDMI in,

Which doesn't really do anything that interesting aside from controlling shit through the Xbox. Meh.

8 Gigs of Flash Memory

Though, it's split up and can't all be utilized in meaningful ways.

Xbox Fitness, etc)

Meh.

Better Controller with thumbsticks that don't rub off.

That's been fixed on PS4... for a while.

The only console to launch new IP (AAA) ip in its first year (Titanfall)

The past is the past, my friend.

The Best FPS (Halo)

And yet, they butcher their releases and the overall popular continues to drop with every release.

arguably the best TPS (Gears)

Eh, maybe. Hasn't really been that relevant since GoW3 - and it's a franchise that hasn't really evolved much.

and the best racer (Forza)

Arguable, but regardless - there are some solid alternatives.

Monthly updates based on what customers want

Sure...

Best Multitasking (snap it baby)..

Never found much use for the Snapping personally (since it shrinks the gameplay screen) - but I'll give it a 'pass'. Though, I have found the overall speed of the OS-level menus to be a lot more responsive on PS4... But PS4 does lack that snap.

Instant Game And app switching rewards those who go digital

PS4 has instant app switching - and is rewarding for digital and non-digital folks alike.

customizable backgrounds and avatar so you can truly make it your own

That's legit - even if it is such a minor detail. Even the paid PS4 themes are fucking atrocious. ha.

I own both consoles. I am far from an Xbox ONE hater - But MS DOES still have some ground to make up for... Just like Sony did last generation. It'll be another couple years before MS will really be in a position to have a chance to actually take over... But that's only if they keep becoming more consumer-friendly/consumer-focused.
