True story: I once witnessed, while at a reservoir in Oregon, an osprey dive and snag a fish. Only time I've ever seen it, and I spent ALOT of times at the lakes and reservoirs in Oregon over the decades. It was truly amazing the speed when they pounce. I considered myself lucky just for seeing him snag a fish, a big one too, almost as big as him.

But as he flew away, low and slow, trying to lift the heavy fish, a bald eagle swooped in right at him! The osprey managed to flip over, still clutching the fish, as the eagle was about to strike, instead of killing/injuring/whatevering the osprey, the eagle instead grabbed the fish. The two spun around like once or twice before the osprey let go and booked it out of there, while the jerk bald eagle made off with the fish.

It was quite honestly, a pretty amazing thing to see.
