How a handcuffed Black man suffocated as Rochester police restrained him

I agree racism is a huge factor in many killings by police officers. I think we might have a small disagreement, however, over the extent to which justice would likely be meted out if this was a somewhat affluent white man. There are two issues occurring here that everyone should care about: (1) racism in policing and the horrific consequences for black people, and (2) the lack of anything like appropriate levels of accountability, both civilly and criminally, for law enforcement when they deny people their rights without legal and just cause, including when they murder people. Which is why I absolutely cannot understand why every damn person in this country isn't demanding drastic policing reform from politicians as a condition of keeping their job. Address it or get voted the fuck out. That's how I'm voting this year and every year until someone does something about this.
