at first i thought the weapon's intention was to be the halo 2 pistol but not near useless - a solid backup weapon to pull out when you've emptied your primary weapon's magazine to finish someone off. however, having played a little recently, it feels like people are using it the same way they'd use the CE magnum and engaging at distance rather than trying to get in AR range for CQB fights.

to be frank if the sidekick is going to remain like this it might as well have just been the magnum imo. while i think you're exaggerating a bit, i think i can agree that the weapon is a bit strong for what it's supposed to be used for and is filling two roles at once - that of a distance weapon and that of a finishing weapon
