The term "common sense" had any meaning it held for me eradicated when Dubya started using it as a conversation-stopper on his dumb policies. "It's just common sense," he'd say, as if that somehow made his and Cheney's actions any less stupid, short-sighted, or destructive.
Trump doesn't even do that, as he walks out of any place he realizes he can't cope with, which is pretty much any situation where he has to articulate something resembling a response to different forms of "This is totally wrong, here's why, so why are you still pushing it?"
The debates are going to be really interesting this year, assuming Trump even shows up.
