[Poetry] The American healthcare system in a nutshell

He sounds like someone with a decent job in America.

If I google salaries for my job in our public healthcare neighbor, Canada, they're at least 20k less. And if I look at /r/canada their current political cause is reforming healthcare because people are keeling over dead in overstaffed ERs after a year on some waitlist.

I know that basic statistics say I pay twice as much for healthcare as anyone else in the world does. I know our healthcare system is inefficient. But it's just not that much money to me in the scheme of things, so when people say America is a hellscape they'd never live in because they'd have to agree to a maximum 5k insurance deductible for incomparably better healthcare, I kind of laugh. But I realize poorer people are getting the shorter end of the stick, as with anything that's overpriced.
