You're not attacking my argument. I never claimed that I cared about MLK's words being contradicted. I used MLK, a radical leaning to the left, to demonstrate just how radical today's left is compared to the 1960's, that's all.

Yes, you could argue that America is still racist, but it is has drastically improved since the 60's. You have to also have some pragmatism when you consider the reality that racism, sexism, or any other issue will not truly be eradicated. All we can do as a society is to alleviate the current levels. I am not necessarily advocating this opinion, but you could hypothetically argue that America is still a racist because some blacks, not many, hate and discriminate whites, most notably police officers. So in 100 years you could put that quote and still argue it's true, which it may be, but it would be much less revelant.

Some current administrations have gone very far to alleviate these evils, such as prioritizing historically discriminated peoples in funding(such as farmers in the CARES act) and it would be unfair and just not conductive to call America the same America as it was 50 years ago. I do agree America has much to improve, but I think both sides need to act with more care and intention.
