Pregnant women or women who have been pregnant, what is the worst/craziest advice someone has given you about your pregnancy?

Hey, thanks in advance for taking the time. You said you feel a lot better and feel like your body is a lot healthier, could you go deeper into that? Do you feel better just physically or also mentally?

It's great that you don't crave junkfood anymore, I do. I don't eat meat, but I do still eat a pizza Margherita, fries, fried fish, etc... I feel like, ah, in stead of getting that nice chicken I'll go for that. Firstly I feel like a hypocrite for still eating fish lol, like I'm cheating. Secondly it's not healthier for my body at all, since I always got a sweet chicken with brown rice and some veggies before. Other than that it does feel nice to say I didn't eat meat for so long.

The point your friend making is interesting. Though people usually don't become vegan to not contribute to humans being exploited through labor, right? But to not contribute to animals being exploited, horribly mistreated, the greenhouse gasses they cause (versus growing veggies for example).. I feel like the fact that humans are being exploited through labor anyway isn't really a valid reason, but maybe I'm missing the point? A lot of people struggle with becoming a vegetarian or vegan, myself included, because of the feeling like "does what I do really matter in the grand scheme of things?". Like, this planet has been around for billions of years, animals and humans for hundreds of millions.. Am I going to make a change?

I also feel what you say about vegetarianism versus veganism. In all honesty, just not eating meat is really, really not that difficult. There is still so much I can crave and ruin my body with. Whether that be fried non-meat products, sugary drinks, etc. Also I have found a lot of meat substitutes to be a great thing to add to pasta or rice with some veggies. I know more and more are becoming vegan and it's getting easier because of it, but still it seems impossible to me. I fucking love eggs in every single way. Cheese, oh my God. I can't imagine. I eat these things basically every day. Luckily I'm not a milk fan. Though I do probably use dairy products more often than I'm aware of when I'm cooking. But with eggs for instance. I only buy biological eggs with 3 stars "Beter Leven" (Better Life). This is a quality mark brought to life by Animal Protection, and tries to help the consumer make a conscious decision for more animal friendly meat. So the eggs with 3 stars come from chicken who have more space than in a regular stall, and have indoor and outdoor free range. I feel like if I buy these eggs, the chicken don't suffer like the animals in regular livestock farming. You feel different about this, I imagine. Would you mind sharing your thoughts about it?

Thank you for the Earthlings tip. I'll check that out.
