First of all, if you haven't seen it there is absolutely no need to lie about it. It's completely ok to have not seen it. Some people like certain genres and that's completely ok. Also it can sometimes be more entertaining to watch people's reaction to not watching a particular show than the show itself!

My younger brother hates horror and would not watch the series with me in our home theatre system. After I finished watching the series and he heard rave reviews about it from every possible place he started watching it on his mobile phone with the lights on and finished the entire series in 3-4 days. He loves the show now and can't wait for the 3rd season!
