Why is the prize pool for winning Worlds the same since Season 2?

there's been a lot of arguments about the way they run tournaments, and I'm sure you've seen the complaint posts about the LCS teams and the LCS casters as well.

Overall they seem to be really overcontrolling about the scene, Dota teams get sponsors that effectively fund them (oh look, a salary) then have extra from prize pools etc. So the way riot does this just seems redundant, in dota there are even open qualifiers that anyone can enter as a fixed team of 5, this both allows anyone to enter, but also allows teams that change roster after the lock date still enter via that if they can run the gauntlet (8 bo1, 2 bo3 games, all single elimination). A team that gets far in that, or even qualifies, might get contacted by sponsors, or their members might get considered next roster shuffle, the scene seems more dynamic than in LoL, which is so fixed by the LCS system.

LoL punishing people for 'unsportsmanlike' play was absurd, it really shows the weakness of the comeback aspect of the game (I play both, they both have their merits, but the item system in LoL just pushes stats so much comebacks can be way too hard) in dota if a team is ahead, even by a lot, they simply cannot afford to buy troll items, doing so might throw the game because one bad teamfight might swing it (take a fight 5-0, or 5-3 but keep your carry and mid alive, and you can simply win the game if they have no buybacks ready).
