I’ve had similar feelings. When I first saw pictures of Disa I had thought we’d see a couple family members or friends who were all from the same dwarven group. Instead she’s the only person or color we see in a whole civilization of white dwarves. I’m happy that she’s here, I like the character a lot and I think the actress is great, but she does appear as a token black dwarf to an extent. Like she was chosen to check a box that said “see we cast everyone!”

It’s the same all over. We have the one token elf, there’s the occasional token villager, and it sticks out and not in a great way for me. It could have been handled better.
