Self help is self help. You can find all of the self help advice Peterson gives in any 12 step book. His whole program is pretty much re-branding of Alcoholics Anonymous. "Clean your room" is "take your inventory." It's the same thing.

The reason why this sub exists is because "Clean your room" is not profound philosophy. It's generic advice. Any qualified shrink will tell you doing small chores can jump-start your day. Any self-help book can give you the same type of advice as Peterson.

All of the political stuff is wrong. His statements on gender aren't backed up. Appealing to authority because your a network engineer (you edited your comment) doesn't really work either. I'm not academic. I'm low level IT with little real interest in the field but I needed a paycheck.
