XC:DE - Random question, but without too much spoilers:

Does the final boss (or bosses) have spikes?

I'm just SO sick and tired of spikes in this game, man. They're such an annoyance and turning into a game-ruiner for me.

Yes, I'm using Shulk's Purge and other abilities, and yes I'm using Spike Defense gems. But even that sometimes isn't enough, and it just feels like such a damn chore and ruins the fun and pacing of fighting. Nobody give me any BS about how it's an added element of strategy, NO IT'S NOT!!! I'm already busting my ass off leveling up, getting weapons and armor, building affinity, grinding better gems, growing Skill Trees, AP-ing up abilities, and a zillion other things.

Then you go into a fight ready for everything and boom, spikes. Stop everything, purge the enemy, then do your thing only to repeat the damn process seconds later. There is NO strategy to that, it's just a cockblock in the middle of what should be epic climactic showdowns. That's not strategy, that's just hella-annoying and not fun or rewarding in ANY way whatsoever.

Man, screw this, I just want to finally beat this damn game and see how it ends and move on with my life, not have everything I do get grinded to a halt by this nonsense.

If any other Xeno games have spikes, I refuse to play them.
