Different. MMM was an hack job that just darkened the Albedo texture and barely amped the Roughness channel up. In simpler words, it was skin cosplaying as leggings and trying to hide it by turning into a black hole

Compare that to Brighid or any of the leggings in 3 and you can clearly see skin doing that pesky thing called "returning light", clearly highlighting the skin below and conversely being as good as containing the character's horni as this sub the other day

Well, they don't actually reflect the skin's light, because skin in the games takes an entirely different rendering process, they just emulate it
