Member of r/aspiememes here (also have a long history of posting there). That thread made me want to unsub too, tbh.

But please don’t equate the nonsense in that thread to being leftist, I’m not American, I’m leftist (in the meaning of its French origins) and I support the police here in the UK, even trained with them on firing ranges at times during my military service (pre-diagnosis).

The cops saved my life, I was suicidal before diagnosis and they showed kindness & humanity before escorting me to hospital. Can’t speak for US cops, or the London met police (who seem to be the ones under scrutiny here)

Long story short—what leftist & liberal mean to me is; support of freedom, democracy, and civil liberty. I’d like to think even right-wingers share these values in any given democracy.

(Also, no, it has nothing to do with autism. It’s hella dumb. Mods should’ve deleted it imo—oh, and I’m only here because they’re moaning about this post on r/aspiememes lol)
