I just don't understand what cops want. From the complaints I've heard literally and escape that isn't just trying to outdrive 2 interceptors and 3 crown vics with a local 4-door is considered a rat plan. Using plane/helicopter = rat plan, bikes = rat plan, = anything with water = ratplan, jumps/tight alleys = rat plan, switching into multiple vehicles = rat plan, personal vehicle=rat plan and on and on it goes.

So anything that isn't a local 4-door and maybe a local 2 door is disliked. That is fine, but crown vics are simply too good/local cars too bad for 95% of the server to have a halfway decent chance of escape. Never mind that PD is now using interceptors that outclass all local cars in their A mode for even the lowest tiers of crimes (and it doesn't help that some cops switch to higher modes when they crash/loose the suspect mid chase) .

They can change the SOP on boats and aircraft and bikes however often they want, if it doesn't change anything about "non-rat plan" escapes with simply trying to outdrive PD in local cars and making those more viable, people will keep using less "fair" plans to give themselves better chances. Even more so if the stakes are as high as they can be with the grindy progression system where a lost red dongle during a Paleto chase can destroy hours over hours of crim work from finding an advanced lockpick, successfully robbing a 24/7 store, successfully robbing a flecca, preparing for the Paleto heist and so on. Although at least the advanced lockpicks seem to be getting more common again, so failing any part of the bank progression won't send you back to scouring for a new safe cracking tool for 6 hours. That might help a little bit with crims not feeling forced to have a 100% success rate.
