Rape survivor belittled about her mental health at DND sponsored event

There is so much backstory, I’ll try and explain as best as I can.

One of the panelists and leader of the INJ20K survivor group tried to sue Diane (the survivor belittled) earlier this year for alleged defamation in an email. One of the claims Diane allegedly made against this person/ panelist was that she was a bully and there was a pattern of this behaviour. This person denied the claims, sued two survivors over the claims, and it ended up costing Diane thousands of dollars to defend. The lawsuit was dismissed twice, but this person can still refile, so the threat of another lawsuit is ever present.

Then Diane attends a symposium organized partially by said person and her supporters, and is slandered and discredited on a hot mic. The PO allegedly asked who Diane was after Diane asked a question before the break, and other panelists chimed in with the alleged derogatory comments. The PO apologized and left the symposium, but she wasn’t having a conversation with just herself, she just asked who Diane was. So I suspect the PO is taking the blame, or has been thrown under the bus by cowards. The PO did the right thing by coming forward, regardless of what was said.

The other panelists were recognized by their voices allegedly, but none have admitted they were a part of this conversation that took place, apparently it’s all on the PO. I think it’s possible some of the people who made these comments about Diane don’t want to come forward because of the personal, professional, and possible legal implications.

This is the same survivor group that’s been demanding GOFO’s get over their knee so they can publicly spank them for their poor behaviour, while avoiding holding themselves to the same standard. INJ20K won’t publicly apologize to Diane, and instead fought on social media against the allegations. Its a bad look and a double standard that needs to be called out.
