In Hinata's chapter (chapter 2) Hinata visted Hiashi (episode 93) after Hinata visited Hiashi she went on a mission with her father and sister and after the mission her sister forced a match with serious conditions against Hinata and Hinata won the match agains her sister. It's also stated during the mission and during the match that Hinata trains/teaches Boruto the basics at home. Her sister knows it's true and tells Hinata about episode 9 and how good his taijutsu is to the point where her sister states that his taijutsu isn't second to an adults. The anime just offscreened Hinata's chapter wich was supposed to happen after episode 93 and before episode 95 and on top of that Hinata is still stated as a ninja by official databook too.
