Your goal is to point out how easily these people can be triggered because they have set response patterns due to their ideologies. Riling up a vegetarian or vegan, or animal rights activist, or environmentalist uses the exact same techniques, and pisses them off just as much, but you wouldn't try to smear those trolls with actually being against those movements, would you? Pointing out that someone has a raging hot button, around which they aren't even remotely rational anymore, is viable comment to some people.

And equating this trolling to actual racism pretty much reveals that it's YOUR hot button, around which you're no longer rational.
