u/dzyrider comes in and explains himself, personally I felt like he didn't need to do that, because I felt like the other guy metaphorically "slapped the beer out of his hand" by ignoring the rest of his comment to focus on that one point

So really my intention was to mock the other guy and in my own way show solidarity to u/dzyrider by taking that comment to an extreme which I felt, on the scale of sarcastic replies, was adequate.

I mean, that's as close as I can get to explaining my actual intentions here, it's not like I would have willingly jumped into the downvotes that guy was/is getting, but here I am. I could delete my comment or just refuse to explain myself, but I'd be doing something equally worthless with my time if I went that way.

Don't mean to be pretentious but I'm pretty sure this is just a fine example of Poe's law
