Reddit, what did you major in, and what is your job now?

I started as an field auditor for a commercial finance company. Over 15 years with that company I moved up the corporate ladder. Eventually got bored and moved to another commercial finance company into a sales position which I really liked. It that position, I told my boss if the company was to enter into any new markets I wanted to be part of it. Well, the company did begin to finance an entirely new industry and I was part of a group that solicited business for that industry. After three years doing that, I learned of a job opening with a bank that was the market leader for that type business. I applied and was hired. That was 17 years ago. I am in a niche business doing specialty finance. I work from an office in my homes 600 miles from my bank. I am on the road 25-35% of the time. If I had to do it again, I would probably go the credit analyst route when I started, then switched over to marketing after cutting my teeth in credit. It would have made me more balanced career wise and opened more doors later in my career.
