Reddit, what event at your job made you just say "Fuck this, I quit"?

Got a job in landscaping. Was told it was a 8 hour shift. Parked my car at the office and was driven there by the managers. My first job on location was to move the truck. Now that the truck was on the job site we had to be more careful and only people with licenses could drive it.... I was the only person there who had a driver's license.... yes, not even the people who drove me there had one. Strike one.

Eight hours came and went, and I was still on the job site, still working, no break. We finally were brought back to the office after 10 hours, expecting to go home.... they put us out back to set up for the next shift in the morning, this meant loading a truck with a bunch of trees. This took another 3 hours. Strike two.

After this thirteen hour shift that I was told would be 8 hours I said something along the lines of "Wow, guess it was an extra long day eh?" The same guy who told me 8 hours was the norm then explained that he lied to me about how long the days were and that they were more like 12 hours. Strike 3.

I smiled, nodded, got in my car and drove home where I saw that I had received a letter approving me for a travel visa. I didn't show up the next day. I know that was an asshole move, but to be fair I also never went to collect a paycheque either (which I also know was stupid.)
