Reddit, what is the most r/niceguys behaviour you have witnessed?

In high school, there was this overweight, socially awkward, MTG-playing guy in my grade who decided he had a crush on one of my friends in senior year. So even though she was dating a friend of his, he wrote her an extremely pretentious and creepy "romantic" poem with violent imagery of like, bloody ribbons and shit. He would write a few lines from it on the whiteboards of our classrooms in the time between periods. (This was a really small school, so we all shared most of our classes.) I think he wanted us to be impressed by his literary spirit and ask him to share the whole poem in front of her. No one ever did. Nor did he ever ask her, or anyone else, out on a date.

Later when I went to college, I came to find out that he had crushed on another one of my friends around the same time. She had gone to a different high school, and knew him because she dated the brother of one of his friends. He wrote her the exact. same. creepy poem, word for fucking word. Apparently he just gave it to her one day, and after she read she pretended nothing had happened because she didn't know what else to do. He followed suit and neither one of them ever acknowledged again that this had happened.
