Reddit, what's the most expensive thing you bought that was worth every penny?

My bike. The cheapest one on the market was like 50€, and it broke down within three months. My old bike lasted longer than that one, but when it also broke down (because i discovered bunny hops, and it was already super old and driven for 15 years), I needed a new bike, so we drove to the nearest big town and looked for a dae le TREK. But we soon saw that it was just the power of the brand, and that we could get better parts on a lesser known german brand, and it was also on sale. So, we got a 900€ mountainbike with higher-middle class parts for 700€, and I drove hills an valleys with it. I clocked 300 km within a week, thats how fun it was and great on the downhill. So I became an adrenalin junkie for a few years, and now I mostly use it for highspeed trips to the store. It is still like new, serviced 2 times, and the only things that were ever replaced were the tires because they were worn out from the punishment, and the handles because the rubber started becoming sticky and disintegrating. It has been around 9 years since we bought it, and still no problems.
