Back in High School, I was really active in extracurricular activities and during my sophomore year took part in a 'mini boot camp' for our JROTC unit. (Basically staying over night at the school for 3 days while learning basic drill and knowledge) I was just starting to gain some confidence in myself and began talking to other people for the first time ever. It started off with us constantly smiling at each other from our adjacent platoons and I about had a hard attack thinking of ways to go up and talk to her.

Up until that point id never really had a 'real' girlfriend, let alone ever talked to a girl. I kept asking myself over and over again "How the Hell am I supposed to do this?" or "How in the world do I even know if shes single?" and overall never really payed attention to what was going on around me after noticing her, just thinking about how I could talk to her or what she was like. She was apparently going through the same dilemma though because on the last day of our training, out of the blue, I hear a "hi" from over my shoulder and lo and behold, that same beautiful brown eyed girl was standing behind me with a smile on her face. One thing led to another, we got each other's skype id, and and entire weekend was spent with 8 hour+ conversations about anything and everything in the world.

This was all 3 years ago. Because of her, I found much more self confidence in myself and later went on to become 2nd in Command of the unit and thus landing a nice Scholarship to the University right up the road. Now were currently happier than ever and about to finally move into our first apartment together. I've never much believed in love stories with happily ever after, but I see her as living proof.
