MH370: two new aircraft fragments 'almost certainly' from missing plane

It's a horrible tragedy for the passengers, crew and their families and hopefully this will put an end to all the mad conspiracies that the plane is sitting on an invisible island somewhere after being hijacked.

I have had a look at the funding and resources for the search and I know Australia is bearing the majority brunt but what I can't find is 'definite' information on the PRC's (whose citizens were the most represented on board) input. Firstly the PRC was saying they wouldn't fund anything and then they said they would kick in $20 million. They also said they were going to supply a ship to help with the underwater search. What I can't find is an official 'Yep the PRC kicked in the $20 million' or a 'Yep the ship promised by the PRC is currently helping with the search'. This has cost Australian tax payers nearly $100 million to date with a joint meeting between Australia, Malaysia and the PRC coming up in July to discuss strategy, resourcing and funding or something? We were obliged to help under some rule that we are now in the process of changing but I believe we went into this knowing that it was going to cost us money and didn't think twice about it because we are a decent civilised country that has always come to the aid of people during times of disaster but are we being right royally shafted by the PRC because we thought that they would be contributing fairly? Malaysia has quite rightly kicked in $40 million but can someone with strong google fu or a very good understanding of the whole situation educate me further and find and post these official acknowledgments of receipt of funds and resources that they promised or enlighten me further please?

They make it sound like they are equal partners in this article

Australia, Malaysia and China have already spent nearly 100 million pounds on investigating the mystery disappearance of the Boeing 777

so it would be great to see that confirmed and have it proven that we aren't being strung along and treated like mugs?
