Road trip from Trondheim to Oslo to Stockholm - would this be any fun?

I'm Norwegian and this seems more of a nightmare than a vacation. Driving cross country in Norway isn't really a fun experience with great roads, you can certainly get some beautiful scenary but it's very expensive. I also don't think you will be able to rent a car in Trondheim that you can drop off in Sweden easily either.

What you're proposing is really flying to a city, driving to three different ones and not really experiencing any of them? Sorry if I seem awfully pessimistic but I wouldn't recommend this at all. Seems like you would be much better off skipping Norway entirely and staying somewhere close to what you're describing in Sweden
