Roslin Piper (Tully)

Point taken. I suppose I can simply make another character to fulfill my purposes.

Yes, I do plan on RPing the whole thing out through various recollections. Being forced to RP the assault step by step, however, to solidify it as a real event seems excessively redundant. That would be like RPing my character's every excretion. I RPed the assault as having happened, and the involved characters will discuss the relevant details. I do not consider the majority of the battle as being relevant, and therefore I do not wish to write it.

Respectfully, I outright reject your accusation that I've created conflict for the sake of conflict. My characters engaged in conflict with each other to significantly bolster their collective plot, especially Roslin's, Mysaria's, and Lyman's. The whole intention of this character proposal is to introduce conflict between characters that I own, so that I can properly formulate structured plot lines that are more fluid – by virtue of being planned – yet equally (if not more) inviting to other players. In other words, I wish to create my own novel with my own cast of characters, which other players can then manipulate and influence as their characters interact with my own.

Why is inter-character conflict not allowed? I'm not supporting myself, or improving my characters' situations. If anything, each of my characters have been thrown into jeopardy, risking punishment, imprisonment, injury, torture, or death. These outcomes are interesting, believable, and stimulating, having been purchased at my own cost. I see no justifiable reason to curb this sort of gameplay.

I also believe that your assessment of the raid's impact is exaggerated. Other players' characters can simply punish mine for what transpired and move on if they so wish. Not every incident is some extreme, make it or break it, all or nothing diplomatic crisis, and I encourage other players to see it that way.

Evidently, Myriah's capture doesn't make sense in the absence of the above characters' roleplays. I cannot explain why the ambush happened through Esgred's eyes because Esgred did not plan the ambush: she was the victim. Believe me, however, when I tell you that the kidnapping does make sense within my own story, and therefore the sub's story as well.
