Some people think Jay and Adnan were talking about Best Buy being "the video store," due to some conversation to that effect at Kristi's. Like a staged alibi. I disagree with that. I think it's just Nisha, a year later, having spent considerable time being interviewed by the defense and prepped by the State. I believe what she said right after arrest, as her clearest recollection.

I believe that Adnan made that call, thinking that Nisha would be his alibi. I believe this was part of Adnan's defense until the State sent the cell tower disclosure. At that point, the call placed Adnan off campus, with Jay. And Adnan's been claiming butt dial, ever since.
