Save ‘The Expanse’: Fan Campaign To Find New Home For Canceled SyFy Show Appears To Be Gaining Real Traction

While I don't disagree with you, I've noticed that sci fi people hold their narratives to way higher of a standard than they do non sci fi. Even if the show does a particularly good job at observing science, that isn't enough. Even the characters have to make logical decisions throughout, which makes it difficult to even generate a plot (as little can go wrong).

That is in stark contrast to every other genre, where a hitman can fire a perfectly silenced weapon, or a lawyer will shout at a judge or a stock broker can talk financial gibberish and it's no big deal. But if a space man pulls off a helmet without running a battery of tests, then it is somehow a deal breaker.

It feels like a poor situation for the creators who are not scientists in any way, but are merely trying to tell a story and doing their best.
