my story is far worse. i was on POF met a girl. a week into it she tells me about this crypto trading app and how to make trades, i thought it was a scam so i sent a tiny bit of money and was able to multiply it to 55k which i was able to withdraw into my coinbase account, this was part of their romance/trading scam to instill trust. a few days later they tell me theres a bigger investment chance and to deposit more then i withdraw, i put in 92k and was able to trade it up to 359k. the excahnge said i need to pay a 30% tax evasion fee to withrdaw the money which is 107k, i contacted some people and realized i got scammed. the fbi and local pd has their info however the dating app took over a month to take that scammer down while their fake exchange is still actively and they have ruined a lot more peoples lives since mine got fucked. fuck scammers, i can make money again and in 10 or 20 years from now when tech gets better ill dedicate 500k to tracking them down, i dont forget and these people are scourges of this earth and need to be locked up.
