[Serious] Why are you afraid of death? If not, why not?

How would you want your immortality to be?

Your mind/feelings are bound to change over time from experience. Would you want to retain all of your character flaws and issues forever? Given time you could overcome some of them, but would you develop new ones too?

What if you were 1,000 years old and had experienced everything you could imagine. What would be exciting any more? Could you keep living with intention and motivation?

When I imagine the best kind of immortality I see myself finding the best in other human beings and wanting to incorporate it into myself. I see myself letting go of the issues in my past and my flaws. I see motivation and excitement for life renewing over and over. I see new and beautiful things in my life. Essentially I see my daughter. She is the result of me picking my favorite human being in the world and combining her good qualities with mine and making something better. She comes into this world fresh and with new, excited eyes. Hopefully she comes into this world with as little of my bad qualities as possible. She is my immortality.
