[Serious] Former suicide attempters, what made you realize that life is worth living?

There's always someone when you die of natural causes, too.

Yes, but it's just the way life goes. It's expected. Suicide can be avoided, so there's a different tone altogether. Especially if it's a young person. Death is always messy, but not all death is the same.

That doesn't mean you have to force yourself to suffer eternally.

It depends on the situation. If someone is suffering from a terminal illness, I can see wanting to go out on your own terms. But who are we talking about here? 'Suicidal people' in general, or a very specific type of suicidal person? No one should have to suffer, but it doesn't mean death is the answer. I could be suffering from depression (I am) but I know there are options other than death. I could be suffering from heartbreak but death isn't the answer. We all suffer now and again, from myriad reasons. Some more than others. But death isn't the option to end suffering all the time, death is the end of all potential options.
