[Serious] People who have cheated, why did you do it?

The first 15 years of my relationship with my SO were great, but then once we had kids, had all our finances intertwined she basically quit on the relationship.

No more effort, no interest. Spent 5 years trying to fix it culminating in a huge effort on my part. It felt like I'd do like 4 or 5 big things and get some small response in return. You know, clean the house, take the kids out so she'd have a day to herself, make dinners for the week, pay for a babysitter, take her out to dinner, then when we got home she'd say, "I'm so tired, zzzzz."

And after maybe 4 or 5 dates like that I just gave up.

Since I had women coming onto me every few weeks or so, it wasn't a matter of me seeking anything out, just me not blocking them.

I'm sure if she knew she'd feel self-righteous, but the reality is that I've given her almost 12 years to get it together and she has made no effort to change.

At my age I look sort of like a cross between Alec Baldwin or Mitt Romney with a little Roger Sterling from Mad Men. I am just at 200 lbs. My stock is pretty high right now.
