[SERIOUS] People who have had amnesia and recovered, what was it like not knowing who you were?

I didn't say that. I said that the person would go through life changing their approach as to try and prevent coming off rude in the future. You're nowhere near ready to try and do that. Listen to me. Don't listen to me. It makes no difference.

mine is a figure of speech

I'm not interested in accepting figures of speech as apologies. I'm interested in actual apologies if a person is willing to be humble; not show humility but actually embody that precept.

I am doing so by responding to you.

For what reason do you believe that the objective basis, criteria, and standard for meaning in life is the relative time-span of one individual lifespan to that of the universe?

Thank you for respecting me enough to pose this question. I will answer you fully. I did not assert that there was a direct correlation for meaning of life in the timespan. What I said is that our lives are an illusion; I defined the word illusion to include statements about the idea of having an improper perception of the life we lead and our self-importance.

I do not believe in anything at all. The act of belief sickens me greatly because it acts contrary to critical thought. Critical thought is a totally polar state to belief in that critical thought considers measuring ideas by their cause and effect/results.

The human life is instantaneous to the universe. It departs as soon as it arrives. This equation is speeding up. Our lives are becoming less valuable or meaningful to the universe as time passes. We are less significant. I went on to assert that therefore the idea of our lives as precious is increasing greatly because of how fragile and brief they are in contrast to very ancient things like universes.

The standard for significance of life is time. How long will your actions take root in the universe? A person like Albert Einstein will impact the universe for a greater time than you or I will. Stephen Hawking will influence the universe greater than either of us as well. These are significant people who have contributed fascinating ideas. They will be studied for a long time. But even the length of time they will be studied will pale in comparison to the age of the universe. It won't matter.

The slim chance that humanity will slip our noose and free ourselves into space is so small that it is illusory.

Hopefully this answers that question.
