[Serious] Redditors who chose to "speak now" instead of "forever hold your peace" at a wedding, why did you speak up, and how did it turn out?

my brother was warned twice before getting married. my aunt told him she used people and was a horrible person.

after my other brother met her he warned and said "are you sure you want to go through with this."

on the wedding day she cried hysterically when she saw my bothers shoes and demanded he switch shoes with another relative.

after they got married she joined 4 different MLM one was herbalife and agressivley sold to her new relatives and friends. she was very over weight and had huge stickers on her van about losing weight and asking her how to do that.

she dragged me to a herba life meeting, i declined to join up but signed me up without my consent. i was now a manager or something and in debt to them for a couple thousands for a box of pills, needless to say we had a lot of arguments.

when the box arrived it was a small 2 by 1 foot box. i was expecting a unwanted delivery of something huge for 2 grand.

she left the church and joined a cult inspite of my bother pleas for her not to. my brother owns his own business and still has to drive the kids to school and pick them up because she is lazy and takes mental pills. she claims everyone is stupid around her.

she threw a knife at my brother during a argument that she was losing and later punched him in the head breaking his glasses. he called the police.

he is a faithful guy and is still giving her a chance , for Christ said to forgive. he says if she leaves he will not stop her and she has threatened hundreds of times but has not relieved us of her insantiy yet.

she also manipulates and talks down to her kids. it is very sad. when someone warns you about marrying someone, take it seriously and put the wedding on hold.
