[Serious] Should elderly people be forced to take tests regarding their motor vehicle operating abilities and mental fitness and get their motor vehicle license(s) revoked if they fail the test(s)? Why/why not?

Yes, definitely. Not just for their own safety but for everyone else on the road. My country does this and I still think the tests could be harder.

My dad's 80, has bad eyesight and failing reflexes. I'm still not sure how he still manages to pass the damn tests. I love him but he shouldn't be on the road! I can't count the number of times he's just stopped in the middle of the cross-sections because he gets confused or missed red lights because he couldn't see them. I've tried getting him to quit driving multiple times but he just won't listen.

I'm not religious but I say a prayer every time he's on the road that he doesn't kill/ injure himself or anyone. It seriously scares me to death.
