Well tbf, it's an hour a week show aimed at a mass, general audience so it is going to be painting with broad strokes. If anyone goes in expecting a show that is going to delve into all the nuances of complex social and political issues, that is on them.

And honestly... I have no idea how anyone could watch any of his segments and not realize he is always picking sides. He isn't exactly subtle about it. Hell, all the main long segments are just straight up, an openly, trying to persuade the viewer of something. So frankly I'd say that if anyone thinks the show is, or even purports to be, not taking sides that is bordering on willful ignorance.
