[Serious] What are your honest thoughts on transgender people?

I think it's sad that people have gender rules ingrained so deeply into them from a young age that they think they have to chop parts of their body off in order to dress the way they want or act the way they want or do things they want to do. I've seen so many times this "I feel female inside" "I feel male inside" but have yet to get a clear definition of what that feeling a certain gender actually is. I've had the pleasure of discussing this online before with transwomen and it never seems to go beyond wanting breasts, dresses, makeup, hair etc. It's a psychological problem and fear of breaking gender roles being treated with surgery and I don't think it's right.

It sometimes feels almost like a mass brain washing. Schools in the UK are having people come into primary schools and talk to children about being transgender, putting ideas into their heads that they've never considered before. Oooh little Johnny likes pink he must be a girl! Sarah plays football and likes clothes from the boys section. She must be a boy. Schools are sending letters home demanding a boy be referred to as she from now on or vice versa. Does this mean I have to make my child believe something i think is wrong? Parents are convinced their children are trans at ridiculous ages because they read too much into their games where parents in the past would have just put it down to imaginary play and not given it a second thought. I could go on but it depresses me tbh.

I don't really care what people do with their bodies but it's the way we are expected to play along with it that I struggle with. I will call a mtf her, she and treat her as a woman as much as I would a real woman. I'm happy to play along to make somebody feel better. It's when I'm expected to actually see her as a real woman or believe she's a woman and participate in the mass brain washing that I don't like.
