[Serious]What is the creepiest thing that has ever happened to you?

Dude past life stories are very interesting to me. My Dad told me a story about one of his colleagues I'll never forget.

My father is a serious engineer type, not one to make up things or try to scare people. He used to work at this large company that had branches oversees. One of his colleagues - let's call him S - was from England and our family would sometimes get to meet his during shareholder meetings or what not. My Dad went on a business trips with him and one time, slightly inebriated S shares this story with him. My Dad then told me this story some years ago.

S's family - his wife, teenage son, young daughter - were touring the US one summer and they found themselves in southern California. I can't remember the city but it was one of those picturesque coastal towns with a lot beach houses and a marina filled with personal boats. S is driving a rented car on the freeway and they happen to pass a stretch limo. All of the sudden the little girl yells "me and my mom used to ride in a car just like that!" pointing to the limo. S and his family find this a bit odd, but the girl is excitable as 5 to 6 year old children are. The family decides to stop at a renowned seafood restaurant over looking the water. As they take their seats the girl spots a sailboat, maybe something like a sailing yacht type vessel. The girl claims her father used to have one just like it. Now S doesn't own a boat and has never been in this area before so this is weird thing to say. S and his wife assume it's just her overactive imagination and thinks nothing of it. The waitress comes around - an older lady local to the area - and says something a long the lines of "Aw your daughter is so cute, she has such beautiful eyes". She tells them of a story of a wealthy local family that were regulars at the restaurant. They owned a sailboat that was kept in this very marina, almost within sight of where they were sitting. This family also had a five year old daughter with blonde hair and blue eyes who looked remarkably like S's. She then tells them of a local tragedy occurred a couple years ago when the daughter fell off the family boat and drowned in freak accident during a regular outing. At this point S and his wife are pretty freaked about, but decide not to make a big deal out of it to not worry the kids. They end their trip a few days later and fly back to England, the daughter never mentions anything again.

S doesn't really like talking about the event, and to this day doesn't have an explanation for it. It could all be chalked up to the random musings of a child but she said some pretty specific stuff, and the waitress' account just makes the whole thing that much creepier. I don't know if S ever looked up the news story on the internet, I know I would have. Of course if that happened to me maybe I would try my hardest to forget about the whole thing.
