[Serious] What's the creepiest story you've ever read/heard, true or not?

True story.

My father is a retired cop. When he was still on the force, one of his closest partners, Moe Lyles told him a creepy ass story that made me lose sleep many nights.

Moe was the biggest African American I've ever seen. But he was very polite and basically a gentle giant. Guy was very mentally sound. I think he was born and raised in New Orleans?

One day while patrolling, my dad noticed something was wrong with Moe. He was unusually quiet and keeping to himself. When my dad asked him what was wrong, Moe said his aunt died. My dad attempted to comfort him but he insisted that he was not close to his aunt and actually disliked her very much. My dad, extremely confused, asked Moe why he was so upset then.

This is where things get weird.

Moe started off by saying that he never told this story to anyone. Not even his wife, in fear she might think he is crazy. But my dad and him grew very close working together and trusted each other with their lives.

He told my dad, when he was a child, he used to stay weekends at his aunts house. She was a very bizarre woman and was obsessed with witchcraft/demons ( I don't remember the exact term) Her house was filled with strange objects and puppets, dolls, etc.

He remembers one doll he HATED. It was a clown doll.

He said when he would stay over at his aunts, she forbade him from ever going into the kitchen (which is where she spent most of her time) unless she told him he could or asked first.

He said he often heard talking and laughter in the kitchen. Like his aunt was conversing with someone. But nobody ever visited her.

So one day, his curiosity got the best of him and he entered the kitchen without permission.

At this point, my dad said Moe was getting uneasy and getting teary eyed. What he saw was his aunt sitting at the kitchen table. In front of her on the table, sitting there, was the clown doll. His aunt, very angry at him, yelled at him to leave the kitchen immediately.

Moe said "Danny, I would never tell a lie. And I've never told anyone this before. But that fucking doll was alive. I don't know how. But it was talking and moving it's head. I swear, man"

My dad believes him.
