[Serious] When did COVID-19 get real for you?

59 days ago or so. Just from seeing all the initial reports among other things.

Only to quickly be calmed an alarmist or something of the sort. Gave heads up to friends and family to be prepared for a tumultuous time. They didn't listen for a while but have realized now. So far I haven't made a wrong prediction yet. Sad but true

and alert to the situation.

No time to panic. But be on high alert and cautious. It sounds highly contagious and while less lethal than say sars. That just means higher chances to infect more people and mutate into something deadlier.

Sounds like masks alone won't help anyways. As I'm reading that the lead sars doctor who did get infected with this virus says it can also spread through the eyes.

Either way. Now is a good time to be on high alert and watch the trends in your area and then act accordingly.

Patient with fever removes mask on female nurse and spits on her face in Wuhan, saying ‘I don’t want to live anymore and you guys should not live too!’ Volcanosaurus_hex59d
Sars was less contagious and more deadly. Which is better in the sense that it's easier for the disease to wipe itself out.

This virus is more contagious and less deadly. Hence the chance to infect more people and mutate into something more deadly.

So while we shouldn't be panicking yet. It would be wise to be on high alert.
