Setting up the telescope

NGC 4631 is an edge-on spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici, 30 million light-years away

After months of using a focal reducer on my telescope, I finally realized I had a way to rack the focus far back enough to use it at prime focus. I wanted to test it on something new, and interesting, so I shot this galaxy. Unfortunately, I also wanted to test it on something I'd already done, to see the new resolution, so I swapped objects halfway through the night. As a result, there isn't enough data here for a cleaner high quality image. I'll definitely be coming back to finish this one off when I get a chance!
