Shona Banda, the woman who's son spoke up at school to DARE about his mother using cannabis oil to save her life, which led to a home raid and her son being taken from her, just got charged with 3 felonies and is facing 30 years in prison.

I remember one of my friends suffered from terrible asthma growing up. I was always revolted by his 2 pack a day plus parents that always smoked inside. Their idea of a solution was to put a humidifier and fan in his room. It was a tiny little one story two bedroom house. Where's the justice for kids like him with trash parents? It was amazing to see how his asthma problems no longer needed constant puffs on an inhaler and prescription drugs once he moved out. Instead of protecting people who are suffering they are persecuting them.

If you have ever known anyone with crohn's disease you know that it's absolutely brutal. I'm talking everything from oxygen tanks, organ deterioration, and hickman's (A plastic tube that comes out of your chest for the purpose of administering drugs) depending on the severity. It's as bad as any serious cancer in many cases. When every minute of your existence is agony there is absolutely no harm in THC. Constant pain is the kind of thing that wears you down over time. A persons personality generally changes for the worse as they are worn down to a nub. They take it out on the people they care about. Until you truly know and love someone this ill you'll never understand the simple things like eating that you take for granted. It's like these asshats have no concept of empathy. The article references the quantity like I'm supposed to be shocked by it. It's cheaper to buy things you legitimately need in quantity. It's why I've got 48 toilet paper rolls in my closet. They act like she was running a cartels meth lab. We're talking pot here and she was using it medicinally. Maybe if she could just get it in other forms then she wouldn't have to make it herself. I have no doubts that it improved her quality of life which led to a better quality of life for her family.
I watched my friend spend his entire childhood choking and suffering on cigarette smoke. He couldn't play sports growing up and only managed to run a mile for the first time in his life at age 20. There's no law against that though.
It's almost like the law prefers this woman develop a serious pain killer addiction. Those won't help a sick person keep food down. There is no anti nausea medication nearly as effective as cannabis that also promotes appetite. Anyone got a link to the petition? I'm signing.
