There really are. It's just that each system has a different selection of exclusives (duhr) and that PS probably has a few more. It comes down to personal choice on which exclusives matter more.

Totally beside the other important choices with a console: controller design preference, online ecosystem, backwards compatibility, significant OS updates... all of which I think Xbox trounces PS. And of course the fact now that third party games will absolutely be the best on Xbox.

All that said, I haven't owned a PS since PS2, and there are a handful of PS 3 & 4 exclusives I would LOVE to play, but just can't drop that kind of money when all those aspects I listed are so much better on Xbox. If PS4 actually had real backward compatibility with PS3, I might be swayed, but still hesitant because of their online ecosystem and mainly the controller...

TL;DR: exclusives are important, but are far from the only deciding factor, an regardless Xbox has some good worthwhile exclusives depending on your taste.
