Should I buy the game?

If you want absolute honesty about how the game has progressed --- it's strange.

The player base isn't really toxic - yet. I'll go over that in a second.

First pro - This has some of the coolest camera controls invented. The gyro controls really do give you mouse like precision, and they are aided by X axis also being on the stick at the same time, so that turn horizontally can be done with that, and your aim can be adjust accordingly.

Second pro - Single player is short but sweet... it's also a little dull in spots, with most bosses (aside from the last) being SUPER easy and fast to take down. Never died to one.

3rd - Last boss is a lot of fun!

4th - The multiplayer is fun, at least regular battle.

Now what sucks about it. People have shoehorned the meta into a particular set of weapons (thought they are all fairly balanced) There are a few who deviate from the path and try out less used weapons, but a mass of the players you will be paired with use the Aerospray, while the others use the Gal, and then Rollers... It can make multiplayer a tad stale at times... Secondly the game has a ranking system that shows how well each team member did and shows them in order from MVP to LVP... Which breeds competition in team, this causes a lot of people to ditch you in a pinch so that they can earn points... especially awful when you're a more vulnerable class, like the charger. It's not all bad though, as a lot of folks will still work with you. Matchmaking is a little bit wonky. Ranked mode is still a tad busted... It's a great game though! It's meant to be more laxed, while retaining some of it's competitiveness... Lack of voice chat is both a curse, and a boon --- For reasons.
